GANT Blank Canvas Project

For FW23, GANT championed creativity and unparalleled artistic freedom by inviting three artists to boldly reinterpret the Varsity Jacket. Dropped in a new capsule collection titled “Blank Canvas,” the limited-edition masterpieces aimed to showcase the transformative power of art on the brand’s archetypal garment. ARTIST: HARRY NURIEV This jacket was designed by Harry Nuriev, a Paris-based designer who explores the nuance of patchwork and sculptural shapes. Distancing himself from traditional design methods, he has focused on patchwork and print design, treating the jacket as an object for innovative expression. ARTIST: Ken Nwadiogbu As part of our Blank Canvas Project, Ken Nwadiogbu, a London-based painter who emphasizes the emotions and experiences of underrepresented voices through his characteristic illustrations, reimagines the varsity jacket. ARTIST: Kilo Kish. This jacket was uniquely designed by Kilo Kish, an interdisciplinary artist and performer based in LA. Showcasing her eclectic sense of style, Kish has worked with various mediums — patches, airbrushing, painting, embroidery, and heat press to create a dynamic living collage Credits: Hypebeast Team
